Case Study No.1 Case Study No.2 Case Study No.3 Our project for the Church of Immaculate Conception, Terryglass, Co. Tipperary was of great interest and enjoyment to us. This particular style of Candelabra is very old, one could imagine sixty to eighty years. It must be converted, ensuring retention of the delicate lines of the Candelabra and its aesthetics. One of the main challenges was where to hide the electronics. The lines do not allow for obtrusive boxes or containers, which in any case would look completely out of place and false. This is not our aim. Our aim is to keep your Shrine or Stand as original as possible, whilst delicately manipulating it to accept electronic conversion. We manufactured a brass box barely the size of the circuit boards. When viewed from the front, the box is just visible at the bottom on the right hand side of the Shrine, in fact the candles at the bottom of the heart shaped structure reflect in the box, giving a beautiful double candle effect. The pushbuttons were fitted next to each candle for convenience and the wiring hidden completely at the rear of the brass heart. It would be difficult indeed to say, even from a very short distance, if the stand is electronic or not. Yes! This is our goal and what we strive towards...
